When I search the internet  with that same Question ,,  i get  hundreds of links  and every company says it has the 100%  BEST  Registry Cleaner software  and i bet 99%  are liars !!

Microsoft  really  needs to TEST  all Registry cleaners &  make a list of the Top  5 BEST  software  for many different uses and post that list so  your Customers can  know what is the Best to use to Fix  their PC  problems .

Please !!  be Nice  and help your Customers who have bought and use your Microsoft  software ..  OK ??

If you have no idea what "Driver Display shuts down and recovers", you shouldn't even try to give advice.

Gordon advised you to start your own thread, as have I.

You are way off topic on this thread, and this only confuses things, and makes the suggestions for

your issue unavailable for others with the same problem should the do a search for

'Driver Display shuts down and recovers' or similar.

The topic of this thread is if Registry Cleaners are safe or beneficial. not TDR, BSOD or similar issues.

When you do start your own thread try and avoid typing a wall of  text. It's hard to keep track of

different points when everything is mashed together in one big block.

    -----

"I first installed 16 GB (4x4GB) Kingston RAM which failed its MEMTEST immediately.  A few months later, I installed a different Corsair 16 GB RAM set.  The Corsair set failed after 6 months.  I now have another Corsair 16 GB set, XMS3, and it has been working OK for 2 years."

Wow - that's a streak of bad luck, or bad overclocking/overvolting.  I've never had a bad RAM.

Not to say that it does not go bad on occasions, just that your situation would be uncommon.

"Display drive shuts down and recovers" is so VAGUE as to be a useless description.

    Tell us EXACTLY what happens.

I apologize for getting off topic. My control panel doesn't list SlimCleaner Plus and I don't recall ever installing it. I will run a MEMTEST to check my RAM. Hopefully it will give me some insight as to what is wrong. As far as downloading the latest nVidea driver, nVidea told me not to because they think that is causing the problem. After the last driver update is when the problem started and I uninstalled it. That seemed to fix the problem temporarily. Thanks again!
