When I search the internet  with that same Question ,,  i get  hundreds of links  and every company says it has the 100%  BEST  Registry Cleaner software  and i bet 99%  are liars !!

Microsoft  really  needs to TEST  all Registry cleaners &  make a list of the Top  5 BEST  software  for many different uses and post that list so  your Customers can  know what is the Best to use to Fix  their PC  problems .

Please !!  be Nice  and help your Customers who have bought and use your Microsoft  software ..  OK ??

    1. The fact that your display driver keeps "shutting down" (whatever that means) is nothing to do with the using of registry cleaners.
    2. If you are not sufficiemtly competent to either fix your problems yourself, or know where to go to do so, then you shouldn't be using any sort of registry cleaner in the first place and
    3. Have you tried posting a question  on this site? There may well be someone here who's had the same problem and has found a ix.

Since Microsoft doesn't recommend using a registry cleaner, what am I supposed to do, pay a technician every time I have a problem? My display driver keeps shutting down and recovering. I have looked in every forum I can find to get a solution. Even nVidea can't fix it. I am living on Social Security and can't afford a technician whenever I have a problem. Why isn't there some way the common man can fix problems by themselves? I can rebuild an automobile engine but I can't fix this damn computer.

I am happy to report that

    I WILL NO LONGER

use any registry cleaner.  Just as I no longer defrag my computer.

Windows has made it possible for me and you to operate the system

    without becoming computer experts.

I too have a 64bir Dell Inspirion with Windows Ultimate and office 2007.

This is the 3rd install because

I forgot NOT to use a registry cleaner.

However, it has taught me a lot about Windows do's and don'ts.

Now I am wondering if pc tools is what caused my blue screens. If I recall that is about when it started the first time I tried defragmenting the registry. I had to restore the registry to get my system running, but all the times it cleaned the registry it could have removed needed keys.

I am in the process of creating a new thread to supply a dmp file. So I won't expect help from this thread.
