http://speccy.piriform.com/results/tfkg7kVshotrYCLQn84AV6K This is my URL for my computer specs. I hope I did this correctly. To answer the question of when the TDR occurs, it only happens when I use Autodesk Inventor Pro 2015. I'll be doing a tutorial and be instructed to open a file or do a scan of an object for analyzation. The page will go blank for a second and then I get a message saying the display driver has stopped working and has recovered. I lose all the work I have done up to that point in the tutorial and have to re-start the program. It doesn't happen every time but, it is annoying enough to get me upset. As I said before I have contacted nVidea with no resolution found. I have also deleted some of the nVidea driver updates because I was told by nVidea to try that as a solution. When I go to a previous driver, it seems to fix the problem for a day or so, but then it starts again. I went through every driver configuration I could find for my GTX570. If you need more info let me know. I desperately want to fix this on my own. Even if I have to go into the registry and make adjustments. I dread going into the registry because I have always been advised against it. I built this computer myself so I want to be the one that repairs any problems. Even if I screw something up, I still want to be able to say I gave it my best shot. Thanks for help so far!

Snapping at everyone who is trying to help you for free will not fix your problem.  This thread is really not the place to ask for help.  However, I have made some suggestions below.

I took a look at your Speccy and your Asus mobo:

    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A87TD\_EVO/specifications/

I see you're using an Asus AMD-based desktop mobo with 16 GB RAM.  You're using an nVidia-based GeForce GTX 570 video card made by eVGA with an LG E2441 24" monitor.  One possible problem I see is you have SlimCleaner Plus and CCleaner installed.  These programs can cause problems because they can damage your Registry and/or system by erasing needed files or Registry entries.

However, ignoring this, the first thing you need to do is check your RAM.  RAM is not as dependable as most people think.  I have an Asus Intel-based mobo.  I first installed 16 GB (4x4GB) Kingston RAM which failed its MEMTEST immediately.  A few months later, I installed a different Corsair 16 GB RAM set.  The Corsair set failed after 2 months.  I now have another Corsair 16 GB set, XMS3, and it has been working OK for 2 years.

Download either the MemTest86 V5.0.0 Free Edition Windows USB or Windows CD ISO file for MEMTEST86:

    http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm

Image for creating bootable CD:  http://www.memtest86.com/downloads/memtest86-iso.zip

Image for creating bootable USB Drive:  http://www.memtest86.com/downloads/memtest86-usb.zip

I am still using v4.0a bootable CD version and it works fine.  I prefer the CD over the USB version but whatever you choose is up to you.  I recommend the CD ISO file because you must boot off the MEMTEST86 program to run it.  You cannot run it from inside Windows 7-64.  Run 3 passes in MEMTEST.  This will take approx. 3.5 hours for my Intel i7 870.  If your RAM fails its MEMTEST, then you know what your problem is.

If your RAM passes, then download the latest nVidia drivers here.  Be sure to choose the correct options for download:

    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Either print out or use another PC to follow the instructions here.  Don't worry about them saying "This GUIDE was published in Aug. 2011 (and is now OUTDATED and on Legacy status)."  Both of us have circa 2009 machines and I prefer these instructions:

    http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1174372

If both of these solutions don't work, then you'll have to do more in-depth troubleshooting.  Hopefully, you did not damage your software install by using SlimCleaner Plus and CCleaner.  I skimmed your Process List and did not see anything out of the ordinary.  Be aware, if you downloaded any program from Torrent or similar P2P, you may have an infected system.

For in-depth troubleshooting, you can try using Windows SysInternals Autoruns.  See what your system loads during boot-up and temporarily uncheck one at a time.  Try to remember the first time your problems started and what you did just before that.  Did you install anything or enable an option?

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Two other good troubleshooting programs are Windows SysInternals Process Explorer:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

    and Windows SysInternals Process Monitor:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx

One problem I had when I first built my system was PowerDVD video stuttering.  It was caused by the Windows 7-64 Aero Theme.  I changed to a Basic Theme and the stuttering went away.  The Aero Theme is just a gimmick so I don't miss it anyway.  I don't know why you think editing the Registry will solve your problem.  It probably will not and will most likely only worsen it.  If my above suggestions don't solve your problem, then you should post more questions at the Windows Seven Forums.  They're pretty good there at helping people:

    http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/

This is pretty much all I can do for you here.  I cannot spend anymore time on this.  Good luck.

If you have no idea what "Driver Display shuts down and recovers", you shouldn't even try to give advice.

Would I be correct in thinking that windows auto update is also set to install Recommended updates? If that is the case the first thing I would do is turn off recommended leaving only Important selected
