Explorer.exe Crashes Constantly When Accessing Control Panel or Any Start Menu Item on WIN 7 x64

Hello,

I have explorer.exe crashing when I try to open the Control Panel on Seven x64 and on some right clicking on files and on anything I search or try to open in the Start Menu.

I think the problem started after I created the Godmode folder through Windows 7 Manager from Yamisoft (I managed to get rid of Godmode anyway).

I can access all components of the Control Panel through the cpl files in Windows directory and none crashes but if I try to open the main Control Panel window explorer crashes.

I run ShellExView and disabled all Shell extension which are NOT from Microsoft and the problem persist.

The problem doesn't occur in Safe Boot mode.

I checked the Event Viewer and the explorer crashes have this info:

I run sfc while in safe mode since it wouldn't start in normal mode and it says that it couldn't repair some files.

    I went and tried to remove it but I don't have any option and can't find anything on the net on how to remove installed updates: how do you do that?

    The AMD64 nomenclature would only refer to the OS being 64-bit.

    Looking through the files you provided show many application crashes, not just explorer.exe.

    There are some programs installed that may be at issue for the application crashes, such as DivX.

     Do you recall any software application being installed around the same time as the appearance of the problem?

     

     

    Oh thank god at least it's nothing with the processor :)

    They should use a different nomenclature though since it's very confusing for many people from what I am reading around the web.

    Re your request there were a couple of applications that installed very strangely or with weird errors.

    I have removed them in the meanwhile but that did not solve the issue.

    They were:

    http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=b19l3hm3f7qldejvcmmrquc0n7&topic=23066.0 (this had a really weird installation and downloaded all sort of MS stuff I never heard of before)

    http://www.supertintin.com/ Skype Video Call Recorder (had some weird errors and I removed it)

    Other programs installed/updated:

    CleanMem\WinUtilities (never used)\InPaint\Process lasso\VueMinder Calendar pro\Folder Marker Home\Edit Pad lite\Smart Diary Suite\

    To quickly find all this software you can look at giveawayoftheday.com which is were i get all this programs.

    Most of them get seldom used truth to be told and I remove them after a while.

    I have anyway tried stopping the one that are running and see if it helped but it didn't.

    I can remove more but it means I will lose them since I cannot even create restore points at present and removing them removes the license too.

    I have removed divx too but that was not it either.

    By the way if you or anyone finds or knows a solution to any of the other issues (like no restore points) please let me know.
