How do I open an .aspx file?

I have just downloaded an .aspx file.  Windows 7 doesn't know how to open.  How can I open it?

An .ASPX file is a collection of processing routines written in Visual Basic Script. They are typically run from a web server or similar calling program by passing parameters into one or more of the routines.

If you try double-clicking the file, you are attempting to run it. When run out-of-context, e.g. not from a calling program, the .ASPX file can do nothing but damage.

If you want to see the underlying script commands, right click it and select Edit. The file should open in Notepad and you should be able to read the code.

    I don't want to read the code.  I want to download the file as a .pdf.  My accountant could do it on her computer.  She emailed it back to me as an attachment (.pdf).   Why couldn't I open the original .aspx file as a .pdf on my computer? (Windows 7)

    If you have a .PDF file, you will need a .PDF reader like Adobe or Foxit. These are available completely free of charge for download, install and use.

    Adobe Reader

    Remember to turn off any options to download/install silly add-ons like toolbars!

    You still didn't answer Kay's question.......I am in the same boat, how do you open a .ASPX file??? We have yet to hear that answer. Or how do we open it and save it as a PDF file? Obiously pretty much everone can open a PDF file but not so much an ASPX file. How to would be nice.

    I have the same problem. I need access to a file available on our state website, but it too is an "aspx" file and I've spent over four hours today trying to download third party programs that are suppose to open these file....all I got was numerous unwanted search bars in Internet Explorer.

    What MICROSOFT product do you have that can AUTOMATICALLY open "aspx" files...not to read the code, but something in plain English?
