You never want the computer to go to sleep?

Type Power Options into the start search box

Press enter.

Select ChangePlan settings next to the prefered plan that is selected

Set Put the computer to sleep - Never.

Change Power Settings

How to:

  • Set your computer to go (or not to go) to sleep after a specified period of inactivity. For more information, see Turn off a computer: frequently asked questions.
  • Adjust the brightness of your display.
  • Choose when to turn off the display during periods of inactivity.
  1. Open Power Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.
  2. Under the plan that you want to change, click Change plan settings.
  3. On the Change settings for the plan page, choose the display and sleep settings that you want to use when your computer is running on battery (if applicable) and when it's plugged in.
  4. For more options, click “Change advanced power settings.”
  5. When you’re done click OK.

    I run Win 7 I E 11 , I had same problems with "A c e r  " win 7  M-3910 Desktop i-5 

    2 Years ago I accidentally  clicked to open an scam in my E-Mail  & p c went  Off  within .2 sec  . I could not start with  REBOOT  . Then some  Member in  community  said  how to  start . After that took 2 days  get all  Desktop which  gone when it had scam.

    Than it  same  :Power setting  to going  never off. then  I did same  as answer in "Johnsir 59's " ,His reply  in  above  

    Doing all that then Reset the i e 11 or any. In Power Setting Check  it again as well as change the advance setting  after

    click save. then re-start p c. & check Power options again  that should  answer for you .
