Free phone support is only available for a retail version, and then only for xx days after the installation, after which phone support is chargeable

MS phone support is not available for a preinstalled version of Win, unless paid for

[I didn't have a contract as my Win7 was from my OEM and I had to turn to them for tech support].

Having said that, this forum has been very useful in solving my issues so it might help you.
