    Roy,

    You need to remove your Product Key from your last post as somebody else could use it to activate a pirated copy and yours can get locked out even though it's genuine.

    If you need Windows 7 then you will have to buy it as you do not have a licence for it.  If you have any questions about this then Please start your own question.  as your question is not the same as that asked by the individual who started this thread.  Multi-question threads get too mixed up; posts get misunderstood and misleading advice is given.  You can get a better response that way. 

    Windows 7 is only available from third party retailers now [MS have not sold it for some time].  There are lots of pirated copies out there so you will have to be careful to avoid them as Windows might seem to activate but then get identified as pirated "non-genuine" later on.  You should therefore only buy from somebody you will still have recourse to next month & next year - for example, Amazon is OK but Amazon Marketplace sellers may not be.  You can find further advice by searching the forum for non-genuine / genuine Windows 7, OEM / system builder version, buy Windows 7.
