I am SO FRUSTRATED, I could scream !!!!! I had to open up a new Hotmail account just to send a message to get some help. Have you ANY idea how frustrating it is to try to get to a LIVE person?! I have been trying to get my Hotmail account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) opened up for over 3 hours! I can't log in because Hotmail has locked it up. When I try to request a reset code, Hotmail wants to send it to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and I HAVEN'T worked there for over two years. I can't get into my account to edit this email so you can send me the code to unlock my *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account. Why do you find it necessary to not allow YOUR customers to be able to call a phone number to get help. I've wasted 3 hours of my time trying to go through the hotmail live support area and I can't even ask a freaken question because it wants me to log in first. I can't log in because they've locked it up and want to send a code to an email address that hasn't existed for over 2 years. I NEED TO GET INTO MY *** Email address is removed for privacy *** ACCOUNT AND NEED SOME HELP. Thank you. Yes I have the same problem. I have been with Hotmail for years! I also have a gmail account and I use multiple computers (Laptops, Nook, etc.) This use from other computers seems to have sent Hotmail into a tail spin. My default email is a GOVERNMENT .mil.. The Army got rid of these emails so I can't even get into the former army account. AND I CAN'T SEEM TO CHANGE IT ON HOTMAIL! They keep blocking me for 30 days. **** they can come to my HOME if they want to and verify IT IS ME. But I don't think anyone works for Microsoft. It is very frustrating.
I have a had Sub Folder removed from my account named Mikes List. I am assuming you are aware of my email account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I can only confirm to the best of my knowledge it has happened during December 2013.
You will see I have a number of folders, only this one has gone missing and I require it to be returned it had about 40 records in it.

Microsoft doesn't remove folders and if one of them is missing, then your account may possibly have been compromised.
As a precaution, it would be advisable to change your password.
