How do I restore screen back to a full screen to read my e-mails?? It is now a screen split in half! Also when sending an outgoing e-mail it notifies me "error, pop 3" & tells me e-mails "not sent." What does that mean???? Please help!!??

How do I get rid of a split screen with my email program on my laptop I currently have Windows 7. All of my email after I try to open us a email splits the screen in half.
I can't seem to find the answer to getting my email on a full screen --not a split screen.
I want to get rid of this split screen as well. It is not just email it is on everything which bothers me because I did not want it and as in other situations Microsoft has left us to guess how to stop this. Please explain not the problem but the cure to get back to only one screen at a time when 8.1 splits the screen in half,not when I open 2 windows when 8.1 opens 2 windows.
Which email program?
Describe what you see on that “split” screen. How is it different from what you want? Most email programs have the screen split in three panes: folder pane, message list pane, and message reading pane.
Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so, right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here. We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
