How can you print from Snipping Tool without pasting first?

Is there a way to print directly from the Snipping tool whitout having to paste the snip or save it and open in a different program?

Hi,

Click the " ? " on the Snipping Tool for HELP. To print a Snip it has to be put into

Paint or another program. The advantage of using the Snipping Tool is that you

don't have to print the entire screen.

Start - type in Search box -> Snipping Tool find at top of list and double click on it.

This thread started 4 years ago. It's amazing that nothing has been added to the tool since 2011.

Has anyone considered the "obvious"? Money talks. What if a patent exists for the required process and MS doesn't want to pay for the rights? To me there's no other sensible reason!

I understood this the first time I used it and noticed printing was not available. I've seen other MS responses in this posting trying to redirect others OUTSIDE of Microsoft to another program. I assumed it was for a non competitor product to compete with the company that MS didn't want to pay to play. Hey, as JohnGWy said...follow the money. Not saying I don't agree with MS on this, just saying that I've used MANY screen capture products, and SNIPPING TOOL is the BEST all around (OTHER THAN YOU CAN'T 1 STEP PRINT)! Hoping for a solution in the future ** after the patent runs out ;) **

You're saying Microsoft should do this, right? Because no one else can, not without the source code. If so, I agree.

But MS doesn't do things because they are good ideas, even great ideas, even slam dunk easy ones. They do things because whole armies of committees with lists and formulas and process manuals and cost-benefit analyses say MS would make money doing so.  Even simple changes can be expensive to test and roll out.

And a committee said printing screenshots wasn't a good idea. No clue why.

It is what it is, but it shouldn't be.
