Funny that complaints against Nokia Care centers never seem to end. And I also come with such a complaint against Care center "Maa Communications" Address: 13 Shankar Vihar, Opp. Metro Pillar 72, Vikas Marg 110092, Delhi.
Please bare with the long depiction of incident. (I blame my profession of advocacy for it :smileylol: )
So, It was on 23rd Dec 2012 that I had lost my N8 and had to use the old N97 which was facing some charging issues (the port was lose and lost connection again and again). And hence, its quite an old case but since I found this place, why not. I would not be able to mention the exact details as I found the documents as a reminder of cheating, but still would like to share my 'not so good' experience.
So, I went to the mentioned Care Center and gave my cell, did all the formalities and was told to wait for 4 days. Surprisingly, the return date on the job card was of the same day. I waited for 4 days and called the care center after that to know if my cell was available. What I recieved was a ferrocious lady on the other side of the phone who I guess did not know what 'politeness' is and just was not ready to give straight answers. Anyways, I decided to call the next day (which was saturday) and so I did. But, ths time it was the guard and not any executive who picked my call and he acted as the intermediater of the whole conversation which actually happened between me and an executive and was told that the cell is not ready as yet. Waited for Sunday and called back on Monday to know if my cell was ready, and as expected but not wished, it wasn't. So I asked for the Center Manager's number which was given to me after a lot of hesistance but I did get it. The Manager promised me to call me back within half an hour and let me know the exact status of my phone, but as the situation depicts, he didn't.
Frustrated I call at Nokia complaint Center and lodge a complaint to which I was told that Care Center generally promises a period of 10 days and I should wait for this much atleast before a complaint is lodged. I did so, and called the center on the exact 11th day and asked for my cell: No, my cell is not ready as yet. Problems as to why it is not ready: not known. The manager is not picking up any calls, from any number I could call from at that time.
And hence I call the Complaint center again and tell them about the whole incident again, to which he asks me to visit the Care Center and get him to talk to any person there. I did so, and the person at the center says that they would return my phone either this very day or the next day. But, frustrated as hell, I want to lodge a complaint which becomes a source of utter shock. The person at the other side of the phone, one from the Complaint Center is not ready to lodge a complaint. Reasons, when asked for, are ntohing but 'nahi Sir, nahi hoga', and 'mujhe nahi pata' and the guy disconnects the call. I call again, and have to explain the whole story to a fresh executive on phone and get my complaint lodged.
Few hours later, I recieve a call from the manager, who promises me delivery of my repaired phone either on that day or the next day. I get my cell back the next day, but unrepaired. The actual problem my phone was facing is that of blue-prints not matching of the new parts. When I go to an unauthorised repair shop, the guy immediately asks me if I had given my cell for repair somewhere. He told me that the guys there left my phone 'unrepairable' and if it has to be repaired at any cost, the mother-board of the cell would be changed, and would cost me atleast Rs. 4,000(INR).
I can surely provide with the IMEI no and my cell number which was registered in those complaints, if any of the Nokia guy here has that much audacity to rectify a loyal customer's grievance. And if not, I have really started to doubt the accountability of Nokia to its customers [specially with (1.) Nokia not keeping a record of reported stolen cell phone's IMEI and informing police in case any of those phones turns up at any Care Center; (2.) and the update for Lumia 510 being available, but still not reachable on the zune software for which I'll have to go to a Care Center, not the reported one for sure.]
