error code 80004003

I have now fixed this issue despite "trying everything", by the following:

First, copy any data (pictures and so on) that you may have on your phone to your PC as this will erase everything!

1. Providing you have copied all your data, reset the phone back to factory settings (Settings > About > Reset your phoe)
2. Allow the phone to guide you through the "First time use" wizard, but **do not** sign into Windows Live.
3. "Buy" an app from Marketplace - at this point you are compelled to sign into Windows live but that's fine.
4. After you have downloaded all the apps you want then you can go to Settings > Email & Accounts > Windows Live and tick the box to sync email (if you want to).
5. Update your phone using Zune (phone > Settings > Update)

After doing all of that, I found that I was able to get apps, whereas before, any attempt to get any app failed.  The key was NOT to sign into Windows Live when setting up the phone for the first time.

I hope this helps some one else to rectify the issue.

Are you trying to update using the Update All button? If so, then try to update each application individually. To do this: Tap the Marketplace tile < Tap Updates < From the App updates list, tap and update each app individually.

If you were already trying this, try to uninstall and then re-install the app again. Follow these steps:

·         Locate the application in the Application List or Games Collection

·         From the Start screen, find the app in your Application List or Games Collection.

·         Tap and hold on the application icon.

·         From the drop-down select uninstall.

·         As soon as the application is uninstalled, go back into Marketplace, locate the application, and choose Install. The newer version of the app will be installed.

**(**If you previously purchased the app, you’ll receive a confirmation when you select buy and the message: “You’ve already purchased this app. Would you like to install it again?” Select Install to reinstall the application. You'll see a similar message for free applications)

My problem solved...

guys connect your phone to your pc

zune soft ware start automatically

When your phone connect to your zune soft ware

Open one of you internet browser on your pc

sign in to your windows live id

Go back to your zune soft ware and check for update

If no new update was available start syncing

disconnect your phone from your pc and sign in windows live id from your phone

now you can go to market place and start to download...
