I found  the exact problem that causes this freezes. My computer freezed today at 20:17. I went to the event viewer and found that at that time there is an event says that "The DgiVecp service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified."

Is there anyone who knows about it?

Thank you.

Hi, Tekinalp67,

Try Gloria's Suggestion from this thread-

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-hardware/error-6008/5a6138d1-e997-4d74-98a4-bb974c4114c1

-Or-

Start > Type Regedit

Press Enter

Navigate to the following key:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Look for an entry listed as DgiVecp

If you find this, then change the Start data value to 4.

Reboot the system and see if the message is gone.

I uninstalled Norton a used the computer from that time to time. During this time, I open the computer and check whether there was a problem or not. I found 2 paper which were approximately 4cm long and 1 cm wide. I removed them. Until today I did not receive the problem. I played games, programming, watching video and surfing during this period which is 10 days.

In this case the screen goes to  orange. sometimes it goes to black blue. I checked in Computer properties to automatically restart. But the computer does not restart. What was the problem? I check the CPU and RAM with Intel Burn Test and it pass with 100 percent in 64 bit windows. I think it is not because of PSU because I am playing lots of games for hours and nothing happened. Only things that come to my mind are motherboard and graphics card. I ran a software of ASUS and it says there is nothing bad on these cards as well. What is the problem?

Opps the hotfix is not suitable for me then.

Now only 2.99 gb is usable for 32 bit. Can norton internet security cause this problem?

Yes, Norton can cause many issues.

Try uninstalling it long enough for testing purposes.  Download and install MSE (freeware).  Go about your computing business and see if there is a freeze.

Security compatibility list shows Norton products as compatible.  If your system is 32-bit, ensure you use 32-bit applications such as Norton with it.
