Event says when my system froze that "The DgiVecp service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified."

I found  the exact problem that causes this freezes. My computer freezed today at 20:17. I went to the event viewer and found that at that time there is an event says that "The DgiVecp service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified."

Is there anyone who knows about it?

Press Enter

Navigate to the following key:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

 Look for an entry listed as DgiVecp

 If you find this, then change the Start data value to 4.

 Reboot the system and see if the message is gone.

Event ID 6008 - is it still showing up in Event Viewer?  Possibilities were heat, video drivers, faulty devices, failing HD's etc

    Can it be a hardware problem? I checked the computer with asus motherboard tool and it did not find any problem.

    For a long time it does not freeze. i did not update the driver, but i should check whether windows update, update it or not. I will let know xerox about this problem. I checked the event viewer for the past freezes and i think it is the same source for freezing. For now it is fine and did not freeze. What else should i check?

    Hey tekinalp67,

    I believe RobBob was suggesting, since it suggested the printer was the source of the error, have you tried dis-connecting the printer from the computer and waiting to see if it still freezes or not. Because you said it was not connected so that leads me to ask if your system is still freezing or has it stopped?

    (Having the driver installed is fine, but if these problems started after the driver was updated, I would say try and re-download the old driver. That goes for any update on your PC actually, if a change was made right before this started, try un-doing that change.)
