How do I change the mouse click from double to single?

Ha, not where you think, try this:

Click, Start>>>Control Panel>>>Folder Options>>>General Tab>>>Click items as follows>>>Single click/Double click

If you don't see folder options in the control panel, click on appearance and personalization, then folder options will be listed and change it to single click to open an item and point to select, save.

Do you want to always use a single click to open files, run programs, etc?  If so:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Folder Options .
  2. Under Click items as follows , select one of the Single-click options.

    There is no ""folders option"" from control panel#$%^&*  Why is it that I ask a simple question and the first or second step is never where I have been sent to?  This a very frustrating thing that is an ongoing problem with Windows 10.
