How do I change the mouse click from double to single? Looked in Control Panel under "Mouse"

Do you want to always use a single click to open files, run programs, etc? If so: Go to Control Panel > Folder Options . Under Click items as follows , select one of the Single-click options. Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional

Best Answer for me. I just bought a new computer so have Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 7. Much easier to change mouse in Windows 7 because you actually do it in the mouse settings but with Windows 8, you have to do it this way. Thank you soooooooo much! I hate double-clicking!! By the way, when you go to the Control Panel in Windows, just type in the search bar for "Folder Options"

Ha, not where you think, try this:

Click, Start>>>Control Panel>>>Folder Options>>>General Tab>>>Click items as follows>>>Single click/Double click

If you don't see folder options in the control panel, click on appearance and personalization, then folder options will be listed and change it to single click to open an item and point to select, save.
