Will Shank said... - I have a fake 95% win rate because I "dump" a game when I think I have been cheated. It's more fun this way because the game fights back the only way it can. It rigs the deal. If you still believe that this game deals the cards randomly then read on. This happened to me a couple of days ago.
I was fed the Queen of Spades in the first two hands and now we were on the 3rd. A few tricks were played and then East took a Heart. I won the next trick and then led with the 3 of Hearts. West played the Queen of Spades, North played the 2 of Hearts and East sloughed off something. That's right. I won the trick (and the Queen)with a 3 the first time around for Hearts. After that it turned out that every remaining Heart was in either my hand or West's hand. Every Heart I led out, West was able to get under. I ended up taking 25 points.
So that was the 3rd consecutive hand where I took the Queen of Spades and so the score at that point was me having 63 points and the bots having the other 13 split among them. That was a random deal?
Dump!!
I have also observed that 37% is a trigger point for shenanigans. I start taking the queen of spades 45-55% of the time (statistically unrealistic), and when I attempt to circumvent this cheating by shooting the moon the player with the one card that can beat me will hold it until the last or the next-to-the-last hand.
Also, MS Hearts seems to choose one player in each game that is granted the ability to count cards. This advantage becomes more acute when Hearts enacts the above cheats.
I've watched hearts do some dumb things. I have a program the flips all the cards face up so I can see just what the computer is doing. I have seen it pass me the weirdest cards, I've had it pass me the 2 of hearts and keep a higher hearts. I've also watched east keep the ace of spades when I lead with spade on purpose just to get the ace out so I could run the hand.
I have already totally give up WS games after playing Hearts over 30,000 times. The WS desinger of this game is totally a psycho who just wants to let you down at all. No fun, no intention and no any meaning for me to play it again. That's too bad for such a big cpmpany to release such a psycho game to confront his own customers. To me, no more WS currently. I have turn all my attentions from WS to iOS and Android. The only left one is my old desk computer. The games on iOS and Android are mush fair, fun and amazing to me.
