Hearts program cheats! I've specifically caught the game cheating. Passed Ace & King Spades to the right & they ended up across the table. I think this is BULL I would expect a program to play by the rules!

I caught MS Hearts cheating on numerous occasions.  I don't believe there is anything close to learning from the game play as the game doesn't store any information (that I could find anyway).

The advantage the game has of course is that it knows all the hands it deals and can manipulate the play accordingly, not so random card distribution as one may think.  For some reason Microsoft is not only happy with the situation but preventing anyone from addressing it. A player published a code that allows you to view the other players cards, kind of evens the game. Microsoft removed it, probably as "malicious software" :)

Makes one wonder what Microsoft does with other applications?  No surprising many people I know are stopping using Explorer, switching from Office to Open Office, etc.

Just thought i would add that it is not just hearts but all the microsoft games that come preloaded.

Hearts  = cheats so bad does not even hide it

Spades = when other players leave cheats so bad does not even hide it

back gammon = cheats so bad does not even attempt to hide at all

chess = plays like a grand master and will punish you for every single mistake when you reach 39% then the next few games plays like a 5 year old just learning till.....yep you get 39% then next game you have no chance unles you undo 100 times.

You could say maybe i'm bad at all the games but then i would like an explanation when playing spades and your human partner leaves and you play for 100 or 200 points for 0 or 00/00 and your computer partner leads with a low of the suit you are struggling with then procedes with the ace of said suit next round.

I have just decided no point in having these games installed anymore and have deleted them all.

Now for some idiot mod to tell me to uninstall and re-install to fix it.

You are exactly right. No matter what cards you pass away 95% of the time you receive the 3 highest hearts or the 3 highest spades or a mix of both. The NPC who passes to you will definitely have the cards that hurt you the most. What are the chances of that happening??? And that isn't the end of it...over 50% of the time after a certain suit has been lead twice and the NPCs lead a very low card the next one will have the next lowest and you have the highest (even if it is a 4 or 5) the last NPC WILL have the queen of hearts and pass it to you. Absolutely pathetic!
