Specified Module could not be found (LogiLDA.dll)

I made the mistake of running a registry cleaner and now get a computer startup error that states that the following ddl cannot run. As far as I can tell it is a Ligitech<br> Download Manager file. Do you know what I can do to fix this? <br><br> <br><br>C:\Windows\System32\LogiLDA.dll

I had it too. This is what I did to fix it.

I went to Control Panel>System>Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>USB input Device (Logitech Download Assistant). Doube click. Uninstall driver.

Then Action>Scan for hardware changes and the driver updates itself from MS with Logitech ware.

"logiLDA.dll" error is GONE.

I personally like a clean registry, although I know tech fundamentalists don't. So I will stick with it, but will keep an open mind.

If it comes back I will repost, as the idea of a "restore" is a good suggestion.

C:\Windows\System32\LogiLDA.dll

Do a system restore to a date before you used the registry cleaner.

And in the future, avoid using registry cleaners. Registry cleaning

programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the registry isn't needed

and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and don't use any registry

cleaner. Despite what many people think, and what vendors of registry

cleaning software try to convince you of, having unused registry

entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously

removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit

it may have.

Let me point out that neither I nor anyone else who warns against the

use of registry cleaners has ever said that they always cause

problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from

the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry

cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it

the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no

benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad

bargain.

I have been using Piriforms's Ccleaner, Professional Edition and I build desk tops and one thing over the years that I have learned and this from an O.E.M. who builds and ships his 'creations' all over the world, is when installing after building a server from the bottom up is Microsoft does not, when you either purchase a PC already with the OS, or you do the install, right after the install is finished, I go into Programs and Features and I 'turn on' everything that the Windows will do except I do not check the box for 'indexing'. Then the next thing is open browser and install Ccleaner and run the registry cleaner. You would really not believe the useless files that have nothing to do with the smooth operation of your OS,(I have never used anything but Windows 7 Ultimate, in 64 bit, and I have 16 GB of RAM, but after going a year with the Windows 8 Developer Preview and was offered a digital download and the 2 pack disc, both cost me less than $110.00 CND and that was when Microsoft wanted $40.00 for the Media Center, and we all know what happened with that little 'mistake'), after all that I have had no issues with Windows 7 ever, in fact, I had updated my graphic card driver and my Windows 10 went blank and no matter what I did, I would have a blank screen. I have 3 OS in one of my servers, 2 of them being Windows 7, and just changed the boot order in BIOS, and when changed to Windows 7, the first thing it did was automatically go into 'disc check' and proceed to 'fix' my Windows 10!!! That is the reason I purchased Windows 7 Ultimate. The most amazing OS ever put out on the market to date. If I have any issues with Windows 10 or 7, Eventually I can make any OS go into 'disk check' and leave it go through all of the checks then if and when it finds an error file or folder, or missing this or that it will fix it. I have sat here and watched it all happen and being amazed at what Windows 7can if you let it.

So I am of the school that a clean registry is a good thing for my desk top, and I will always use a cleaner. In fact I have been using IOBIT's Advanced System Care 8.1 Ultimate and my OS with a mother board that has a few years on it runs better than some of my friends with PC's that are less than one year old and they bought them with Windows 8 and then jumped to Windows 10. I could not believe that Windows 8 was actually put out as the 'next best thing since sliced bread' but when Microsoft gave us all the chance to take the free upgrade to 10, I know of no one that still has Windows 8 or 8.1. Like rats jumping the sinking ship, Windows 8 was a very costly mistake. Big Time!

Another cleaner type program is Revouninstaller, with some features that will clean you Windows and junk files along with uninstalling unwanted trials of software, for one should never use Windows to uninstall anything because it always leaves files and folders behind from that software. Now if you can't afford to purchase Revo, IOBIT has a free version of same, that you can get from their main site. The really good thing about IOBIT is it will do 'batch' uninstalls' which is just great when your software has more than one component. To recap, cleaners are good because they do extend the life of your OS. My wife has a Compaq/HP that I purchased for her in 2008, which came with Vista, but after less than a year I convinced her that Windows 7 Ultimate is the best ever OS and finally she allowed me to upgrade her laptop. Then I installed these 'cleaning' programs and it's still going strong after all these years. It wouldn't boot the other day and what happened? Windows 7 Ultimate went into repair mode and fixed it.

There are 3 USB input Devices. All 3 say Microsoft. Not Logitech.
