I have win7 but unfortunately there is no "winlive" folder in my computer. The "WDLCore.dll" file has disappeared at all from my  computer, or it never existed there... :-(

I have tried to fix the problem on my pc.

But.... it does not work with windows 7!

    in windows 7 there doesn't exist a file named  .......\ live\ shared.

    what can I do now?

I too have Win7 and had a hard time finding the folder Program Files\Windows Live\Shared. Finally found it under it under C:Program Files (x86). Try C:Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared. Sure enough the two files - wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll - were hiding in there. Copied and pasted them into c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail. So far it is looking like it might be working. Fingers crossed.
