How do I reinstall WLDCore.dll?

PS my files in question were located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared

I was having a lot of trouble with my hotmail account on windows 7 and I resolved it.

I now have Windows 10 and in order to still receive emails from Hotmail, it has to be through my browser but is Outlook Email, not Windows Live and I have no trouble at all. Are you still on Windows 7 or 8 and having trouble with emails?

Microsoft probably don't want to publicise this remedy, but it is still possible to use Windows Live Mail with Windows 7 or 8, to access Hotmail, Live and Outlook accounts via an IMAP server.  The solution is as follows:

Open Windows Live Mail

Select Options, followed by Email accounts

Click on Add, and create an entirely new account for your existing Hotmail address.

Complete the various menus - but on the first page, check the box to manually configure server settings.

At this stage, do not enter your password

Select the server type as IMAP

Enter the following data:

Incoming server address = imap-mail.outlook.com

Change the Port number from 143 to 993

Check the secure connection (SSL) box

Authenticate using clear text

Outgoing server address = smtp-mail.outlook.com

Change the Port number from 25 to 587

Check the secure connection (SSL) box

Check the "requires authentication" box

Enter your complete email address as your log-on user name

Click on Next, followed by Finish

This will take you back to your list of email accounts, including the account you have just created.

Select the new email account you have just created and click on Properties

Under the General tab, complete any missing information

Under the Servers tab, enter your password.  Then, check the box labelled "remember password"

Under the IMAP tab, leave Root folder path blank

Check the box labelled "Check for new messages in all folders"

Check the box labelled "Store special folders on IMAP server"

Change the various paths to the following values - "Sent"; "Drafts"; "Deleted" and "Junk"

Click on OK and close the accounts menu.

Windows Live Mail should download the folders for your existing Hotmail account, including all of your received and sent messages.

I marked this 'helpful' because this question takes the whole thread to Windows 10, which I fully appreaciate.

The paths which have been mentioned earlier (for Windows 7, or 8) do not exist any more, as I found out some time ago. - I also have read the hint to un-install and re-install Windows Live, but for this proposal I have to say that I am afraid to lose all my e-mail messages when doing so.

Microsoft wants everybody to change to Windows 10, so support should be given again for this OS.

how do I reinstall live messenger when window 10 came on my computer I don't have a disc.
