How do I reinstall WLDCore.dll?

i continue to receive pop up error message WLDCore.dll was not found, reinstalling the application may fix the problem.

    Hi,

    I had the same problem. Your solution probably works, but I was pretty sure I did not change anything to my installation. So I wondered why this file might have been gone astray. And then it hit me: I had been doing some cleaning up in my path settings. So I added C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared back to the system path, et voila...

    You can find this setting in Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables > System Variables > Path

    THIS works just make sure you set this as default mail provider

    I had same issue. Here is how to fix it. This is easy and works! Thanks to whoever figured it out.

    After long day of research, at last I got the solution. It seems the new Windows Live has grouped the wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll (used by Messenger, Contacts and Mail) to a folder c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared

    Maybe because I did upgrade install it screwed up things.

    The solution was simply copy paste those 2 files wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll from c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared to

    • c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger
    • c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts
    • c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail

    Now I can login to Windows Live Messenger and enjoy the whole Windows Live Essentials 2011 products.

    Really? I have uninstall and reinstall software on this $1000 piece of **** to get your windows live software to work? If you were not idiots, then when the error box pops up and tells me that I have to install some wild core with dills, there would be a link to your website which automatically fixes your software programming incompetence. So I have spent a hour of my life, downloading, etc. and I can still cannot use your basic email on your piece of hardware without apparently calling my tech support or getting an engineering degree. You people are so stupid you have no idea how stupid you are. Thanks for ****.

    Thanks, solution from 'elliottme11' works perfectly. Anyway MVP's doesn't have any explanation why it happens? It is May 2013, and problem suddenly appeared today on my PC? No fix from MS?
