The copying of the files works but I can only fear that I'll forget I did this and something weird will happen(windows fixes something on these files and doesn't notice we moved files and doesn't update them as well). I was kind of hoping the fix with adding the "path" for the files in the environmental variables would have worked so I didn't have to move files but that didn't seem to work.

Here the info on the updating the path variables. Just make sure your carefull. https://www.infopackets.com/news/9488/wldcoredll-missing-windows-live-mail-wont-start

Thanks for the heads up on this. Still strange I didn't notice this happening sooner(current new update?).

So, is there a windows live essentials for windows 10 or is the copying the files out to the locations in page 1 the temporary solution? I always try running the install executable every once in a while to make sure there's no patches but nothing yet.

Is there a new windows package I'm supposed to use in windows 10?

I'm using the most recent Firefox and apparently without this the help menu tab doesn't work and I can't share links [and probably other things I haven't found out yet. I do wish though if Firefox was using the wldcore it would install a copy for itself but that's probably whats happening.... old library file and new program. Its like when I have to install 4 different versions of office to get an older database feature to work (internship had office 97 and I had 2013).

I don't have c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared. The only thing in the Windows Live folder is Mail. :-(

    Anyone have other suggestions?
