What icon? The shortcut that should take you to gmail?
Does this link take you to Gmail?
If it does, create a new shortcut/Favorite to replace the current one
which appears to be damaged.

- Do you get any error message when you try to open the mail box?
- Are you using a mail client or a web based mail client?

Using Win 10, Using Chrome to get to my email. Cannot get to it using your suggested link. Able to access email thru IE, however; but do not want to use that path. Howard
Try Chrome in Incognito Mode. If that helps, clear cached data and possibly also cookies and history.
