I have Windows 7 & IE8. When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show. The text is full of the dreaded red x's & the whole thing is unreadable.
How can I stop this? Turn off the slide show feature?

As of January 26, 2011 this was a known issue in Windows Live Mail.
What we would really like to know is, will this known issue in Windows Live Mail ever be fixed?
Or will we have to wait for or find a new email client?
A simple straight forward question, could we have a simple straight forward answer please.

John Paul, I can't begin to count the number of times I have seen this uninstall/reinstall solution or the number of times it has not worked!
Perhaps you "Windows Live" people should get togetherand put pressure on the "Experts" to fix Windoes Live Mail. Can you not see how frustrated and upset your Windows Live Mail users are?

A friend sent an email to me and also sent the same email to my wife. This email contained 10 pictures that she had taken and a short note that she had written. The email my wife received showed 10 .jpg attachments at the top of her email, the text that our friend had written, and the 10 pictures in the body of the email. This is how the email looked when sent by our friend. The email I received showed 10 .jpg thumbnails at the top of my email, the text that our friend had written, and NO pictures in the body of the email, only a list of the 10 .JPG pictures. Written in blue below the thumbnails was “View slide show”. Clicking on this did absolutely nothing. This is NOT how the email looked when sent by our friend. Just for the **** of it, I forwarded the email that I had received from our friend to my wife, and she forwarded the email she had received from our friend to me. It came in just as it was when I had sent it, EXCEPT that now, not like before, clicking on “View slide show” opened a slide show in Windows Live! Crazy! I have Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail 2011 (Build 15.4.3538.0513). My wife has Windows XP and Outlook Express 6. Our friend has Windows XP and Outlook Express 6. Windows Live Rowena D. says “There is no fix for this issue because there is no bug.” Windows Live Kent P. says “Unfortunately there’s no fix for the said issue because there’s no bug detected.” Maybe there is no bug, but there definitely is an issue. If Microsoft and Windows Live Mail really care about their clients, they should admit that this Windows Live Mail program is seriously flawed. This is clearly evident when one looks through the Windows Live Mail Solution Forums. It may not have bugs, but it does have numerous issues. Microsoft and Windows Live Mail should recognize that this program lacks functionality, usability, and user friendliness and address these issues in a timely manner.
