When forwarding emails, pictures are stripped from text & put in slide show destroying original

I have Windows 7 & IE8. When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show. The text is full of the dreaded red x's & the whole thing is unreadable.

How can I stop this? Turn off the slide show feature?

    OK, I uploaded a sample mail file with pictures.  A red X now appears next to the file name in the upload box which isn't encouraging.  Assuming that the upload worked, this is what should should see (or at least what I and my mail recipients would see):

    If you simply forward the mail, the pictures are stripped out and end up as a slide show at the beginning of the mail - at least if you are getting it on WLM 2011.  Recipients using some other mail programs claim that the pictures don't get through at all.

    If you forward the mail as an attachment, the original mail is preserved.  The problem is that you can't remove extraneous junk like forwarding email addresses when you send it this way.

    I want a way to forward mail that doesn't change the mail.

    I'm off on business for 2 months and won't have my Windows 7 until March.

    I'll try to do my best to answer your questions via Windows XP starting on Monday ............... but it's starting to sound like wa4anr will be your best contact.

    Hi wa4anr,

    Make sure that you're on the Desktop folder when selecting the account. I've opened another private data field below where you can upload the file.

    I now see the area to upload the file, but I can't find the file to select.

    (I was able to drag the email to my desktop, and have the file name of the mail,

    but I can't find it in this list of files that comes up when you "Select" the file to upload.
