When forwarding emails, pictures are stripped from text & put in slide show destroying original

I have Windows 7 & IE8. When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show. The text is full of the dreaded red x's & the whole thing is unreadable.

How can I stop this? Turn off the slide show feature?

    Hey wa4anr I trust you haven't heard anything either. Nothing has changed here. My daughter-in-law just sent me an email telling me that what I sent her didn't make sense since all the pictures were deleted.

    Maybe we have to find something ourselves (possibly in a different technology) that actually does work.

    Some recap just in case it helps:

    1. I only know one other person locally who has WLM, and she has the identical problem.
    2. It is easy to reproduce: simply send the email with inline pictures to yourself. The pictures are stripped out and presented as a slide show at the beginning of the mail.  Clue: WLM will always tell you that one or more pictures are missing when this problem occurs.  I don't see any missing pictures, only misplaced pictures.  (Note: If you send the mail as an attachment, the original formatting is preserved.  This really isn't an acceptable solution, since when you forward mail this way, you can't delete any of the extraneous garbage like forwarding addresses.)

    I'm awaiting the response too. I have emails from people, with attachments, and the attachments dissapear when I open the email. I simply can't accept that there are only 2 of us who are in this position. I REGULARLY have all sorts of problems with correspondents whose emails to and from me have been trashed.
