I can't believe this thread has been going on for 7 months and this is the question we're hearing now.. Sounds like "can we blame it on something else?". I am sure at least one of these Windows 7 gurus have duplicated the problem themselves, if they are looking for a fix, and can test their own browser email in seconds. These reponses sound like feeble attempts to make people believe they might be working on a fix.. As stated before, If you can't fix the software roll it back to the version that worked before you screwed it up !!! Everyone I know on win 7 wlm has this issue ..
When forwarding emails, pictures are stripped from text & put in slide show destroying original
I have Windows 7 & IE8. When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show. The text is full of the dreaded red x's & the whole thing is unreadable.
How can I stop this? Turn off the slide show feature?

2011-07-18T21:22:54+00:00 So............. I'm getting the impression that Microsoft has NO intention of fixing this problem. Not now, not ever.
A HUGE problem affecting ALL email users!
It looks like there are only 2 remedies....
- go & buy an Apple.
- go viral & rant on this on every web site you can find.
#2 isn't a very mature way to solve problems and I don't recommend it yet ......... but it's the only solution users have these days to FIX things when you're being totally ignored!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I (we) have tried our best and ................... nothing.
C'mon Bill, do I have to phone you at home?

2011-06-11T10:15:39+00:00 "Get it now": One would believe that if someone was reinventing the wheel and it didn't turn, they'd realize they need to revert back to what worked previously, instead of still trying to make it turn. As mentioned, if you were composing an email, the new system could be beneficial. However, why it's taking well over half a year for some so called computer specialist to figure this flaw out, is at the least, unacceptable and frustrating. I had previously asked if we just couldn't remove Windows Live Mail and revert back to Outlook or Outlook Express (until this problem was corrected). I never did receive an answer from Microsoft. Who would ever think that when you depress "Forward" the original email would be crucified! I fail to see the reasoning or intent behind that manuver!

2011-06-11T01:54:05+00:00 I agree with shrpshtr. What is the problem. This was working OK until you changed everything. Just put us back to where we were before all you so called experts screwed every thing up. It seems that if you broke it you should be able to fix it. What is taking so long.
