Arc Touch Mouse Scroll stops working

Hi,

I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.

I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.

After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.

However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.

But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.

This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.

Please help!!

I have buy the Arc Mouse Sourface Edition  [Model Number 1592 - Made in China] directly from the Microsoft Store, and from the day one the problem of the scroll is present, and the only solution is the Off - On sequence, but make it at least 10 times at day or more is a pain....

Is possible there no solution in 2016, i use in a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 [i5] i like the design and the abiliti to flat-it, but the price is Very High, and i hope in a solution, this is a zero day hardware / firmware problem and i hope in a solution or in a completly refund... (how many year is need to solve this problem !??)

For an 84,99€ Mouse (Italian vat included ....96.45$) mouse a problem like this is not accettable)

Make fast a Firmware Update or Fix this Hardware Problem !

Sorry for Bad English but i don't speak usually English....

This is a broken design that is never going to be fixed. I love the design but I'm now trying to get a replacement. If you can't live with the resetting it thing I would get a refund as soon as possible. and best of luck! F.

    Hi all,

After having to make it flat to power down and up to have the scroll function working again, I found a solution as recommended in Amazon product review. It seems to be working better now.

Please download the windows store app called Arc Touch Bluetooth mouse and scroll down all the way in the settings to find the middle tap and choose "disable middle tap". This seems to effectively stop the intermittent problems with scrolling function in the middle strip.

    All the best!

This has existed for years.   It also happens with other blue tooth mice.

I know of no known fix.
