Hi,
I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.
I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.
After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.
However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.
But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.
This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.

I'm also getting the issue where at random intervals the scroll touch pad just stops giving feedback and stops working. The rest of the mouse continues to function fine (moving around, buttons clicking). So far the only way to resolve it is to turn the mouse off and back on - which at times I'm so frustrated it makes me want to just snap it in two.
I notice this thread has been going on for 3 years, so is there any resolution yet?
I have this problem as well. Nice mouse, but this scrolling issue needs to get addressed.
I found if I push firmly the front most portion of the scroll pad "wheel" it starts working again. So every time is stops I just push the front of the pad. The location that I am describing is located the furthest away from the LED, the opposite end of the scroll wheel on top of the mouse.
It’s as though a connection is not making under the scroll pad.
Same problem here. Using it with notebook Lenovo y510p with Windows 8.1. Mouse is great but this really pisses me off.
I have the same problem with Microsoft Arc Touch. The "wheel" will stop working, and I have to "turn it off" and then turn it back on to get the wheel to respond again. The troubleshooting tips don't give a tip for a permanent fix to the problem.
It's obvious that there isn't a working solution to this - even after three years. Why is Microsoft evading this issue altogether if this is a problem for so many people? I wish I had seen this before I bought the thing! I think next time I buy anything computer related, I'm going to Apple!
