Arc Touch Mouse Scroll stops working

Hi,

I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.

I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.

After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.

However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.

But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.

This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.

Please help!!

I am running Windows 10 and I have to re-boot my arch touch mouse multiple times per day  Sometimes it is for the scroll and sometimes it simply stops communicating or working at all.

Why is this checked as the Answer?  This is absolute fluff.  Its like someone saying "Did you try shutting down and rebooting?"  These are not answers.  These are band-aids and don't fix the problem at it root.

As for the Arc Surface Touch Mouse, it is flawed and the same issue has been happening to me since April of 2014 and nothing has worked to fix it.

    Hi FariJo,

Over the past three weeks, even though I've used my mouse extensively, I've only had the problem happen once, to my amazement. Before Windows 10, it used to happen about every ten or fifteen minutes.

It seems that none of us is any closer to identifying the real cause. We still don't know if it's a hardware problem, a firmware problem, or a driver problem--or some combination of these. This thread is turning into a mystery novel. :)

    Good Luck,

    Steve

Exact same issue here. Unfortunately i don't have to original box anymore to return the mouse back. This should never happen with an Apple mouse.

Also Microsoft is just ignoring this issue. Very bad service!

I downloaded the Microsoft Arc Mouse Bluetooth Software and clicked "Restore Defaults" and then turn off middle click and also the Page Up / Page Down functions. But to no avail, my mouse still occasionally stops scrolling. Windows 10 has not resolved the issue. Not good enough, I will probably have to go back to a logitech or something next time unless MS acknowledge the issue and release a better model.
