network icon says "no internet access" but i am connected

Hey guys,

so I'm having a bit of an issue. I'm running a fresh install of win7 for over a week without any problems. Yesterday, for no apparent reason (ie. no updates, no modifications, no new software install...really NOTHING) my network access icon on the bottom right taskbar has a yellow triangle over it and says i have "no internet access" even though i clearly have internet.

I probably wouldnt be worried too much if it was just a wrong icon, but the problem is, software that check for updates and checks to see if im online keeps saying im offline and can only work in offline mode.

This is causing a serious issue.

Any1 have any clues how to fix this?

I run Kasp Antivir 2010 and thats about it. No other wierd or free software...no extra firewalls nothing. I just dont get how it can just happen from 1 day to the other.

Oh and the whole win7 "Troubleshoot" didnt detect any problems.

Hi,

If the issue persists then, create a Windows user account and check if this issue occurs with the new user account.

    Hi,

    Since how long have you been facing the issue?

    Method 1: Follow the steps provided in the following link and check if that helps.

    Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the network adapter drivers and check if the issue persists.

    a)    Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.‌  If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    a)Double-click Network Adapters, right-click your adapter, and then click Properties.

    b)    Click the Driver tab, and then click uninstall.

    Once you uninstall the drivers then download and install the network adapter drivers from the manufacturer’s website, refer the following link to update the drivers.

    DO NOT do this, unless you have another device with internet access.

    Do this, it works -> go into the device manager, select the network adapters device, double click your network adapter, select the driver tab, click the disable button.  once it is disabled, then click the enable button, the driver is reloaded and your problem is solved.

    I am using Win 8.1 and have a red cross on my Network icon. It shows "Network, No Internet Access", but like all of you here I can access the Web without any problems.

    None of the above solutions have worked for me (I have looked at each one in turn).

    Troubleshooting network problems finds no issues.

    Network and Sharing Center shows an Ethernet connection. Clicking on that (the word Ethernet is a link) I get an Ethernet Status pane which shows I have Internet connectivity over IPV4 but "No network access" over IPV6 (however this was always the case, even when my Network icon showed no red cross on it).

    This has got me stumped. Of course I will reboot and it may well cure the problem, but surely someone from Microsoft should be looking at this?

    Going a bit further, I opened my Computer Management dialog (I am using Windows Ultimate) and looked at the System Event Log. This shows a warning with EventID 27, Source e1iexpress and the Details are:
