Hey guys,
so I'm having a bit of an issue. I'm running a fresh install of win7 for over a week without any problems. Yesterday, for no apparent reason (ie. no updates, no modifications, no new software install...really NOTHING) my network access icon on the bottom right taskbar has a yellow triangle over it and says i have "no internet access" even though i clearly have internet.
I probably wouldnt be worried too much if it was just a wrong icon, but the problem is, software that check for updates and checks to see if im online keeps saying im offline and can only work in offline mode.
This is causing a serious issue.
Any1 have any clues how to fix this?
I run Kasp Antivir 2010 and thats about it. No other wierd or free software...no extra firewalls nothing. I just dont get how it can just happen from 1 day to the other.
Oh and the whole win7 "Troubleshoot" didnt detect any problems.

Sorry i tried this but it still did not work still gives me the warning sign saying no internet access but is still connected.

Just thought I'd give my 2 cents on this issue..
Anyways just bought a brand new Dell Lat E6540 and connected it to our domain, little error came up no internet access, but clearly I was browsing the internet. Tried using a dirty Ethernet cable that I have here, it bypasses all our firewalls and network and connects straight to the internet, and the triangle went away. Did a little investigating and found speed set to auto negotiate, when I changed the speed to be 1Gb full duplex the triangle went away when I plugged in the cable that is connected to our domain.
TL;DR change the connection speed on your NIC it might solve the issue for you.
I had this problem as well with a Dell Latitude E6430. I wiped the original Dell image and re installed, after an update the yellow triangle appeared but I still had network connectivity and internet access though it said I didn't/ . I believe an update broke it. No roll backs fixed it. What I did was go to my Device manager and found it to be an intel 82579LM. Dell updates would not fix, nor windows updates, so I went to Intel's web site and grabbed the Intel driver for the specified device, in my case 82579LM. as soon as I downloaded it and installed the yellow vanished and all is happy.
I know of 2 people that have the same issue. Both have laptops with Windows 7 installed and both had the issue appear at the same time, in different parts of the country. Wireless or wired connections both say 'Connected: No internet access'. This seems to be happening only on their home networks, when they connect to their work network issue disappears. The modems and routes have been power cycled multiple times, still the issue resists. Other PCs on their local network have internet access at home.
Does anyone know if there is a set of recent Windows Updates that could be causing this issue?
