If your computer is having problems finding and installing operating system updates, try using a Windows Update troubleshooter to fix the problem
Open the Windows Update troubleshooter by clicking the

and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type
troubleshooter, and then click
Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, click
Fix problems with Windows Update.

Hi yes i had the same problem
But he forgot to mention 1 Thing in step 2
For step 2 try this instead:
2/ Type "net stop WuAuServ" ( stop Windows Update). **PRESS ENTER** ....wait for the cmd to say windows update is stopping and then windows update has stopped successfully.Then close.
You should now be able to rename it.
Do the same for step 6 too:
6/ Type "net start WuAuServ" ( restart Windows Update). **PRESS ENTER**...wait for the cmd to say it has restarted windows update successfully. then close :D

I have tried this myself while installing .NET framework 4. I still get the same error over and over. I am starting to get a little frustrated with it.
