Before Windows 7, my high score was like 1204 or there about. Since Windows 7 I had a high of 1362 and a win % of 67% with more than 1000 games, then I realized that you could undo moves all the way back to the beginning of the game.
So I reset my stats and this is where I am now. The way I play is to **try keeping my win % HIGH!**By pressing F2 when starting a new game you will get re-dealt a new hand with no penalty. I try not to play a game unless I have 5 or more opening moves. If I can't win I will undo moves and try again, occasionally I have to go all the way back to the start
and try some unconventional moves like a red Jack on a black Queen instead of the red Queen to reveal different cards. I do this until I can win, even if I get a low score. I don't play slow, trying to figure out which cards to move are the best like my brother
does. So how do you score more then 1300 pts? I suspect that you get bonus point for finishing the game quick even though Microsoft does not say so in the help file.
At closing my advice is to only start games that have many opening moves and play quickly. If you don't win then undo moves and try again even if you get a low score your win % will stay high. And on occasions you will get very high scores by finishing
quickly.
Good luck to all, and to MerrieV I would like to know if this makes sense to you.
p.s. I am going to try to play even quicker then I do now to beat MerrieV high of 1402.
Wow! Maybe I didn't read the help file carefully enough :-( but this is the first time I've heard that you could press F2 at the start of a game if you don't like the look of it, to get dealt a fresh hand :-) Mind you, I've had some awful looking new hands
that have worked out nicely in the end ;-)
What I really hate is that the Hint facility gives you really bad hints half the time grrrr!!!
But on the subject of undoing, I don't see how anyone can score highly if they use the undo more than a few times, since each undo counts as a move?
And on the subject of a random high scores, like Merrie, I only noticed that I had scored a lot higher than usual a day or so later. So I have no idea why I scored that high on that occassion either? LOL.
