Keyboard won't work on laptop

I bought a new laptop finally but when Windows updated to 10, my old one worked again   Now it is starting to loose key usage on some.

I just woke my laptop up and the keyboard didn't work, every key that i hit typed 5. So I restarted my laptop and now the keyboard won't type nothing. Any answers?

Who is the manufacturer of Laptop?

Are you using external keyboard?

Most of the time when you hit letters you get numbers with laptop and the workaround is to Try hit the Fn Lock key and Num Lock Key,

If your keyboard stopped working completely then you may try the steps below:

Shutdown the laptop and Remove the battery. Hold in the power button for a few seconds. This resets the motherboard. Replace the batter and startup as normal.

   I have an iview megatronII. The keyboard stopped working after doing a ctrl all delete boot because it froze up.  My battery is not removeable without opening the back of the computer. My touch screen keyboard works fine as does everything else. Just the keyboard is non responsive.

it has been more than a year since the problem and all that i get is useless awnsers, so much so for Microsoft support and Hp customer care
