Ah yes. Searching for this problem with 6120 instead of E51 does turn up several good threads here and on other websites. Some believe setting the clock to 12-hour mode (instead of 24) cures the problem, others say it only occurs when an alarm is set, and the clock passes a weekend.

I'll do some experiments to see what (if any) works for me, and then hope that a firmware update solves it at some time.

@svuppe: Yes, I have read on other discussion forums of such issues happening to some users on 6120 classic and E51. They were discussing about the date resetting 24 hours back, but I see in your case it went back 72 hours. The problem is this behavior was reported to occur irrespective of the network time update setting (either enabled or disabled). Some users thought this issue was due to some third party applications installed on the phones, however it also happened to users with no such applications installed. It is also important to mention that for some users, this problem never happened. Therefore, it may be just a software issue (an unpleasant one, obviously) that could be addressed by future firmware updates.

I got the E51 just before new year, and up to now it has been a great phone. Ok, the camera does tend to be a bit green in low light situations, but everything else has worked perfectly.

    Until this morning.

I use my phone as my alarm clock. Before this phone, I had a E60, and on that one I've had to reprogram the alarm every day, so I was very happy to see the repeating alarm option in the E51. Last week this worked great.

This morning, my phone failed to wake me. Upon manually turning it on, I saw that the alarm was still present for monday morning, but now the date has set itself back three days (so it believed it was friday the fourth). It was correctly set to sunday the sixth last night when I powered down the phone. I do not have network time updates enabled.

Have anyone else seen this behaviour?

    Firmware is 100.34.20
