Hi,

You can't make folders on the desktop that have "System Action" or "Device"  references such

as con, nul and prn. Solution is to use another name or use 0 instead of o,O for C0n.

Here are others :

CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9,

LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9

Can you create “con” folder on windows os ?

Hope this helps.

Use Linux to create a folder with the names. But good luck. You will have to use Linux to delete it and it will not let you delete it or open it on Windows. The ultimate troll folder.

why are you just explaining the problem???

SOLUTION: first click the alt button and then 255(num pad) and write whatever u like.

    Note to all :

ALT + 255 creates a backspace which is not visible yet has to be there for command line and

programming operations. So the name created is not "con" but " con" where that space is not

visible (hard to display a backspace so that is not really accurate - so please allow poetic license),

Years ago I used to create hard to see folders in DOS by naming them with multiple ALT + 255

    and nothing else.
