I have Acer Aspire 7515z. I using windows 7 RTM. Now it is showing a cross icon on battery saying that "Consider replacing your battery" as my battery is giving the same performance. I disabled the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Battery Method, it vanished the icon but didn't extended my battery's life. I re-installed windows but same issue is occuring. Help me to sort out this issue. thanks

Can't even find a 7515z in the Acer list!!
It could be that the battery in the laptop is not in good condition and Windows is telling you this, so do NOT turn off the warnings..

i have managed to get into powercfg-energy my problem is after waiting 60 sec i get a message saying energy efficiency problems were found (11) Errors, (14) warnings, (14) informational c:\windows\system32\energy-report.html for more details i type energy-report.html and press enter key i then get a message saying this page can't be displayed
the options it says are
make sure web address is correct
look for the page with your search engine
refresh the page in a few minutes.
there is a button says fix connection problems. when i press that it says make sure the web address you're trying to reach is spelled correctly
windows can't find "file///c:/windows/system32/energy-report.html".
i am now stuck and dont no what to do please help me thanks joe

For Billtonge: ur laptop's battery cells are working inadequately that is why u r having this issue. Going through all those steps wich i mentioned earlier won't work for u. Better to get a new one!
For maja.I:please follow steps which are written above in first thread for poojanegi. Then u will be able to rum cmd wid admin privileges.
For cm-zz: try changing the directory in command prompt and then run the command. Hope that u will find ur energy report this time.
For rosiyarose: it seems that u haven't inserted the battery properly and laptop is running through charger. Please pull it out and plug the battery again. After sumtime,remove da charging pin and check whether laptop is still on or not!if it is on then run all the process again n post ur result. Then i wil be able to answer u. If the laptop is off after removing charging pin then consult ur nearest repairer of laptops.

For pragrash venugopal:i think ur battery has completed its useful life of 1 or 2 years (may vary depending on usage) or there must be sumthing malfunctioned in ur battery. Kindly consult ur nearest repairer if ur battery was new.

I followed you steps and now the battery is no more charging. Now I cannot use my laptop without the charger, which is like desktop.
