I have Acer Aspire 7515z. I using windows 7 RTM. Now it is showing a cross icon on battery saying that "Consider replacing your battery" as my battery is giving the same performance. I disabled the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Battery Method, it vanished the icon but didn't extended my battery's life. I re-installed windows but same issue is occuring. Help me to sort out this issue. thanks

Can't even find a 7515z in the Acer list!!
It could be that the battery in the laptop is not in good condition and Windows is telling you this, so do NOT turn off the warnings..

Sigh... what MuNNa1988 is saying is that Windows 7 as implemented the warning message "Consider Replacing Your Battery" to run whenever the "Last Full Charge" of the battery in your computer dips below 40% (Full charge meaning out of the original "Design Capacity" of the battery, less than 40% of it was recharged. the tips he provided is a way to re-lengthen your battery life over repeated use. (drop battery life to absolutely no charge, plug in charger until it is fully charged, repeat process)
However, if the battery cannot maintain that charge over 40%, it will continue to tell you to replace the battery. if you wish to determine how this magic percentage is achieved, run the diagnostic MuNNa1988 provided and retrieve the two numbers above the percentage (labelled "Design Capacity" and "Last Full Charge"). take the number from the Last Full Charge and divide it by the number from the Design compacity multiplied by 100. (Formula: (Last Full Charge/Design Capacity) x 100 = Last Full Charge Percentage).
So, in short, if Last Full Charge is less than 40%, the message will continue to appear.
If you want to fix this, either buy a new battery and replace the problematic one, or try and re-lengthen the life of your battery.

Hope you all are fine by the grace of GOD. i had received many calls regarding the issue quoted above and i told all of them to follow these steps. 80% people fixed such type of issue and 20 % people's laptop battery was worse in condition that's why this solution didn't worked for them. I am posting this thread so that if anyone still having the same issue kindly contact me on +(removed) or email at *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. One thing should be kept in mind that if the battery's condition is not then this procedure doesn't apply on such. The health of the battery can be determined by following the steps i had already posted. If the battery's health is good, then the Red Cross will be removed and your battery's last full charge will start increasing whereas if the battery' health is not good, then it won't show any progress regarding last full charge.
