I keep getting this message - Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding)

Hello,

My computer is stuggling to get internet access, I keep getting this message - Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding).  All of the other computers in my house are connected with no difficulty.  Any suggestions?

I resolved the problem.  When my router lost power, somehow the addresses got changed so the IP address of the wireless Dell computer no longer fell in the pool of addresses maintained by the router.  When I reconfigured by router and had released and renewed my IP address on the Dell computer, everything started working again.

    When I attempt to send an email I get a popup that says DNS connection not responding and my email is lost

    Thanx. I had my router configured with DHCP OFF. I Put it on ON, and repeated the procedure .../release then .../renew and everything's OK.

    Could you please provide more of a step by step as to what you mean by "reconfigured my router"?  I have been working at this for hours and can't figure out what is going wrong.  All computers, ipod touches, PS3 connect with no problem, but my Dell running Windows 7 is connected but won't load anything.  I ran diagnostic and got same error "DNS Server not responding"

    Please help
