Hello,

My computer is stuggling to get internet access, I keep getting this message - Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding).  All of the other computers in my house are connected with no difficulty.  Any suggestions?

I resolved the problem.  When my router lost power, somehow the addresses got changed so the IP address of the wireless Dell computer no longer fell in the pool of addresses maintained by the router.  When I reconfigured by router and had released and renewed my IP address on the Dell computer, everything started working again.

    I had a problm with Belkin router i only could connect throug ethranet cable but not wirless.

    changing the adapter settings of the connection to Obtaining IP address Automatically fixed my problm.

    Hello,I have followed your steps as above... thanks. Im getting the message 'no operation can be performed on LAN with its media disconnected'... help. My wireless will not open any internet pages although it seems to be connected and trouble shooter saying 'DNS not responding'.
