Hello,

My computer is stuggling to get internet access, I keep getting this message - Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding).  All of the other computers in my house are connected with no difficulty.  Any suggestions?

I resolved the problem.  When my router lost power, somehow the addresses got changed so the IP address of the wireless Dell computer no longer fell in the pool of addresses maintained by the router.  When I reconfigured by router and had released and renewed my IP address on the Dell computer, everything started working again.

    I resolved the problem by uninstalling McAfee anti virus. For some reason, McAfee had restricted all access to the router. Currently using Kaspersky. Everything is A...Okay.

    This worked for me.

    I have tried all of this and cannot seem to fix my home wireless.  I can connect other places, but at home it keeps telling me that the DNS is not responding or whatever.  When I do the command prompt stuff, the ipconfig /renew tells me "No operation can be performed on Wireless Connection 2 while its media is disconnected. An error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1: The system cannot find the file specified."

    Please help.
