Hello,

My computer is stuggling to get internet access, I keep getting this message - Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding).  All of the other computers in my house are connected with no difficulty.  Any suggestions?

I resolved the problem.  When my router lost power, somehow the addresses got changed so the IP address of the wireless Dell computer no longer fell in the pool of addresses maintained by the router.  When I reconfigured by router and had released and renewed my IP address on the Dell computer, everything started working again.

    I have exactly the same problem. I try and run diagnostics and it says DNS is not responding. This only happened very recently about a week ago everything was running smooth until then. I think there was a microsoft update for Win7 around the same time.     i have tried all the solutions on this page to no avail. I have also tried going into my Wireless network connection and set the preferred DNS server on IPv4 to 208.67.222.222 and other things.

    Please help !

    I have the problem:

    devise or resource (DNS server) is not responding

    Problem -  I keep getting a yellow triangle with an exclamation point with windows 7 (WIFI Bars)

    and my connection is not as goos needed to be.

    He it's info. about my Laptop:

    Windows 7 x64

    OS Version 6.1.7601

    Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q894

    Installation Date: 11/02/2010
