msg.exe / netsend - anything availible on Windows 7?

On XP, I used to communicate through my network for fun via netsend. 

I've googled, and apparently msg.exe replaced it in vista?

What about Win7?

Hi Shankopotamus,

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 Forums.

Windows 7 does not support msg.exe and net send commands to send messages over network.

    MyChat works fine with all Windows, from XP till 10. Is your question about this?

    my apologies for being so vague in my question

    Our IT team is looking at ways to broadcast messages/important notices across our network in the form of a pop up on the users screens. At the moment we relying on email notification which has not been very successful. can MyChat work for this?

    We have Skype for business but have not explored any ways of using Skype as a broadcast tool

    All Ok. Yes, MyChat have a special tool named "Broadcasts" for this task. Just hit Ctrl+F9, select receivers list and type your message:

    After this, the message will shown on receiver's computer (stay on top, over all windows).

    When the user press the "I confirm that I read this" and "Close" button, you will see the special confirmation message in your chat:

    Don't hesitate to ask about MyChat on official support forum.
