How can I darken the print on my screen?

Hi,

I run Win 7 64bit on a computer with performance rating of 7.3.

The print which appears on my screen (a top spec Sony Monitor) is coloured light grey, and difficult to read, especially against the bright screen background. 

Will you please tell me how to get the print to be fully black.

I have tried the high contrast themes, but occassionally, when entering data the yellow lettering disappears into the background, and I cannot tell what i am doing.

    I have the same problem and I also have tried high contrast, no different in the print.  Some prints are so hard to read that I cannot reply to a request.
