Hi,

Do you use norton 360? Norton -> Settings -> Backup Settings -> Backup Status Overlays -> OFF -> Apply.  After you run your next backup (you can do it manually) the check marks will disappear.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.  Question: how do I STOP the many, many answers to my question.  I must have gotten 50 since I replied that this fixed the problem.

IF YOU ARE USING "OUTLOOK" YOU CAN SET IT UP SO THAT ALL OF THOSE RESPONSES BE DIRECTED TO A PARTICULAR FOLDER, OR TO TRASH.

OR YOU CAN "UNCHECK" HERE WHERE IT SAY, NOTIFY ME OF A RESPONSE.

Its Microsoft One Drive.  I uninstalled it and the green check marks went away.         THIS SITUATION OCCURS UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.  YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ACTIVITIES WAS "MSN ONE DRIVE" WAS DOING AT THAT PARTICULAR TIME!!...AS I'VE PREVIOUSLY STATED BY SECURITY SOFTWARE HAD PLACED THE CHECK MARKS, DENOTING THAT THE APPLICATIONS ON MY DESKTOP HAD BEEN CHECKED AND WAS CLEARED OF ANY DANGEROUS BUGS.  IN MY SOFTWARE, I HAD TO OPTION TO BE NOTIFIED BY THE CHECK MARKS OR NOT, SO I CHOSE "NOT" TO NOTIFY ME.  YOU STILL DONOT "UNDERSTAND" THE "WHY"!
