I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. How do I change the font color that describes the desktop icons?

Hi

You cannot change the Desktop font color.

Because Desktop wallpaper images have varying colors, it is easy for the font colors to be unreadable if they are on top of the same color as a wallpaper image. For instance a black font on top of a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The Desktop icon fonts are dynamic and will show white on dark backgrounds and change to white with a black shadow effect on a light background.

    wow... you guys in Microsoft must REALLY DETEST the average user! After all windows 7 was a MAJOR pain in the **** to learn NOW you got Win 8 which is 10 times WORSE!! I don't suppose there is ANY hope that you will return to the USER FRIENDLY format anytime soon instead of all this bloated pseudo-dynamic ****? White is nice on black and black is nice on white BUT... Life and computers are not always BLACK AND WHITE!

    this is exactly what I was looking for.  For the longest time, I couldn't read the text under the icons almost all of the time, even when I moused over them

    I have a desktop backgroung that goes from the ocean to the sky during sunset. The white fonts show up great over the water, but totally disapear in the clouds and sun in the sky. There is no shadowing to the fonts to make them show up in the light colored area of the desktop background. How do I get those fontd to show up so I can read them?
