I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. How do I change the font color that describes the desktop icons?

Hi

You cannot change the Desktop font color.

Because Desktop wallpaper images have varying colors, it is easy for the font colors to be unreadable if they are on top of the same color as a wallpaper image. For instance a black font on top of a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The Desktop icon fonts are dynamic and will show white on dark backgrounds and change to white with a black shadow effect on a light background.

    Hey I'm not getting black text either on the desktop..... I have no idea how it works.

    Hey, I tried what you said, but the desktop font is still white. How exactly did u get it to turn black???? I wanna know too....

    Hey PawTipz...... You could try dragging and dropping the desktop icons to a part of the screen where it's readable...... but Ronnie is right.. you can't change the color. I have found that out myself too..... but you can make the icon text bigger if that wold help.....Right click on the desktop, and click windows color. towards the bottom, it should say "Advanced appearance settings". click that, and a box comes up. you should see controls for size and things... use the drop down arrow, and select Icons. it should give you the option to change the icon text size.... use the up arrow to increase it and then click apply. Hops this helps. :)
